Along a slow, sand-banked river, Vela brings together two lodges and a handful of tented camps. The land has been left to itself for a long time, and the reserve now enters a chapter of careful stewardship and patient investment.
We stand for a balance where people and wildlife both thrive. Working with the neighbouring communities, our approach is simple: when the people here prosper, so does the wilderness.
Accommodation
Each lodge has its own character, from thatch and old timber to clean, quiet modern rooms. Wherever you stay, the river is the view, and the animals come to you.
